Recycling Information
How To Recycle
To prepare items for recycling, please rinse out (perhaps with the after meal washing up), remove all lids and place in bin (yellow lid). It is not necessary to bundle paper or cardboard items and cans need not be flattened. Items that must not be recycled in the yellow-lidded bins are batteries, light globes, chemicals or oils, food stuffs, nappies, plastic bags, polystyrene, crockery, household rubbish, glass or mirrors. It is important only correct recycling materials be placed in these bins. Trucks have close circut cameras to monitor bin loads as they are emptied. Penalties may apply for incorrect use.
Collection Days
Recycle bins are collected every fortnight.
What To Do With Your Old Crates
Please keep your old recycling crate if it is useful, otherwise take it to your nearest Waste Transfer Station.
