A rare opportunity has arisen to join our team providing disability support services in Smithton. With multiple vacancies available, these positions best suit either locals or candidates living in close proximity to Smithton. We are delighted to be offering both permanent and casual roles for the right people.

About the role:

As an Anglicare support worker, you will be a vital part of people’s lives, professionally assisting our clients with movement, domestic duties, mealtime support, medication administration and support with personal care.

We currently have a variety of shifts available that range from 24 hour shifts (including a sleepover component) to 1-2 hour shifts.

About you:

You reflect our values of Respect, Compassion, Hope and Justice
You are physically able – the job requires a reasonable level of fitness and an Anglicare-assessed medical assessment will be required prior to joining the team
You are open to flexible hours including weekends and sleep-over shifts
Holding a certificate 3 qualification in a relevant field would be a bonus (but is not a deal-breaker)
Previous experience in disability or aged care is highly desirable
What you must have:

Australian Residency status or valid Australian working rights
A current provisional or full Australian Driver Licence and an insured, reliable motor vehicle;
A current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People registration
A schedule 1 Tasmanian Police National Police Certificate no older than 12 months (form available on our website)
