Field Technician (Electrician)

Your new role

Working autonomously and as part of a busy team, this role will see you undertaking small to medium sized projects with the opportunity to develop into a leading hand role, providing preventative and reactive maintenance to a range commercial clients, pathways to specialise within Fire and/or Security. Your hard work and dedication will ensure our customer’s electrical compliance obligations are continually met.

What you’ll need to succeed

You’ll display self-motivation, strong safety behaviours, clear communication skills, and personal drive to meet individual and team targets whilst providing a professional and customer focussed approach. Reliability and flexibility, along with being super organised, well presented and ability to meet the physical demands of the role are essential.

You’ll need:

Electrician Trade Qualification
Certificate II in Split Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Systems or willingness to obtain
White Card
Drivers Licence
Current police check
Working with children/vulnerable persons check
Experience in a similar role along with knowledge of applicable codes, standards and best practices pertaining to role
Good knowledge and experience of fault finding on a range of electrical equipment including data and communications
Experience in safely operating a wide range of trade technician tools and equipment such as drills, ladders etc
Sound knowledge of OH&S requirements and demonstrated ability to ensure a safe work environment
Competent in the use of computers and working around software programs

Install, set up & commission interval metering UEEEL0013 (formally UEENEEG171A)
Asbestos Awareness training
Tas Networks Authority to Access
Low Voltage Rescue
