Manage TIA’s corporate communication strategy
The Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture (TIA) is a research institute part of the College of Sciences and Engineering, specialising in development, extension and education to support innovative and sustainable agriculture in Tasmania.
TIA is seeking to appoint a Communications Officer to undertake the management of TIA’s corporate communication strategy, overseeing stakeholder engagement and events management.
This position plays a significant role in representing the institute, building key relationships with internal and external stakeholders to maximise awareness of the institute’s economic, social, and environmental impact in line with the Strategic Direction.
Review, develop, coordinate, and manage all TIA corporate communications.
Coordinate the delivery of information, publications and promotional materials.
Provide strategic communications advice and recommendations to TIA staff.
Oversee the development and maximisation of opportunities to brand and deliver engagement activities.
Manage TIA’s digital and conventional communications to increase awareness and engagement.
Develop and implement communication strategies for research projects.
To be successful in the role, your application will need to demonstrate;
A tertiary qualification in communications, media relations, marketing or public relations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to think strategically with extensive experience in a senior communications management position.
Experience in managing emerging communication platforms and channels.
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
A high standard of written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Appointment to this role will be at HEO 7 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $105,219 comprising base salary within the range of $87,423 to $96,090 plus 9.5% superannuation.
