Community and education

Regional NRM organisations rely on the support of community volunteers to carry out effective natural resource management. In return, we are often in the position to offer skills training, education, capacity-building and funding to community groups in the Cradle Coast region. Over many years, these partnerships have been established, and Cradle Coast NRM is proud to support 34 active community Coastcare, Landcare and Friends of groups in the region.

We have also been involved with school education programs like Kids Teaching Kids, and community environmental education through support of the fantastic Discovery Ranger program.

Some case studies about previous projects are available here, as well as some resources for educators. Through the Regional Land Partnerships program, -Cradle Coast NRM plans to keep supporting community groups to do their important work.
