TULIP FESTIVAL WYNYARD

The annual Tulip Festival is Waratah-Wynyard’s annual celebration of everything that is colourful, beautiful and charming about not only the tulips that adorn Table Cape, but also our municipality.
SHEFFIELD – 7-9 March 2020
On the March long weekend every year, SteamFest brings history to life over three days with one of the biggest collections of working steam machinery in Australia, Steam train rides, exhibitions of pioneering skills showing how things were done in yesteryear, ploughing displays and a full wood chopping competition on Monday.
LONG TABLE FESTIVAL
KING ISLAND – 2-7 April 2020
The Long Table Festival is run by a small team of local volunteers in conjunction with visiting chefs to display the best of local and Tasmanian produce. Past chefs include talents Stephen Russell and Nicholas Cooper, Melbourne’s Pure South Dining and Tasmania’s Bay of Fires Bush Retreats own Thomas Dicker.
INTERNATIONAL MURAL FEST
SHEFFIELD – 12-18 April 2020
The International Mural Fest is a truly unique art competition held annually in Sheffield – the ‘Town of Murals’, in Tasmania, Australia. Commencing Easter Sunday every year, Mural Fest is so successful that similar events are now happening interstate and overseas.
Each year, nine artists compete in a public ‘paint off’ from Easter Sunday to the following Saturday. Each artist must complete a 2100mm x 4800mm mural, using the same poem as their mural’s central theme and inspiration. Each year a new poem is selected, meaning no two Mural Fests are ever the same.

Art lovers from around the country travel to experience this showcase of spectacular wearables at our Gala Event and Award Evening. QUEENSTOWN – 16-18 October 2020
Mining new cultural experiences at the edge of the world. The Unconformity is a contemporary arts festival that explores the paradoxes of Queenstown, a small mining community on Tasmania’s wild and mountainous West Coast. The Unconformity 2020 dates will be announced in June 2019.
