Job Description

We are currently looking for an Operations Manager to be based in our refrigerated cross dock facility in Devonport

You will be required to

lead, mentor, and develop the team of supervisors, ensuring safety, service, and compliance in line with agreed standards in operational procedures
Offer support to your supervisors, assist with their day to day duties where necessary
Lead tool box meetings, have safety conversations and coordinate facility maintenance
Review rosters and labour costs
Track equipment and ensure there is enough for each da
General reporting for our customers and internal stakeholders

Qualifications

We are looking for a hands on leader who likes to lead from the front and get out on site to join our small team.

It is necessary to have a background in Transport or Warehousing, ideally you have worked with refrigerated goods.

You will also need

To understand P&L and the ability to drive efficacies for profit
Strong people management skills, you like to drive a good work culture and you like to build strong working, productive engaged teams
To have a can-do attitude, you like a fast pace environment where no two days are the same
A safety first mindset with the ability to instill that into your team members
Intermediate computer/excel skills and experience, you are familiar with running reports and analysiing data
